SHORT CUTS TO RELATED TREE GROUPS

Main-HMAP.jpg (19265 bytes)   If you're pretty sure you know the tree group (like "maples") but are not sure which species, try clicking on one of the following selections to take you right to the page with those descriptions.  Not all trees fit neatly into one these groups, but many do.  If this doesn't work, try using one of the identification keys.  Another "short-cut" is to link with the species list page and click on one of the species on the list.  The page you link to will have several similar species to look over.
